Choosing brakes for you ATV, Dirt Bike, or Motorcycle
Here at GearHead we know that everyone is a little bit different when it comes to choosing brake pads. Some are limited by budget and shop within a certain price range, while others look for a certain performance specs based on their riding preferences. For example, Fred takes his bike to the track and wants to upgrade his brake rotors and pads on his CBR 600 from OEM but he’s not sponsored, so he can’t spend a lot. Fred might want to go with a set of EBC Double H Sintered Pads and Braking’s WL Series Race Rotors to get what he is looking for without “braking” the bank. In the future if he gets more serious about racing, he may want to look at oversize rotor kits and the Extreme Pro pads from EBC for even greater stopping power and performance. Bob on the other hand, does mostly casual riding on trails near his home with his CRF450 and doesn’t need a high performance pad. Bob would probably be best with a set of Braking® Semi-Metallic Brake Pads for a step up from OEM at a great price.
